About
…or Why You Need This Blog.

I have a number of reasons for starting (and continuing) Extraordinary blog. What you’ll find here is not for everyone and if not for you, that’s OK. You see I’m not interested in writing content that appeals to a huge, general, fickle audience.
Quite the contrary.
This is a unique blog, containing a mix of items that work together for me. This mix will also work for a select number of other people – and if you recognise yourself as one of those people then welcome.
So what will you find here?
Well, this blog is a work in progress, to be refined as time passes. But the basic gist of it is such. I aim to seek out new experiences, whether that involves travel abroad, extraordinary things near to my home, or even the extraordinary moments that happen in daily life that often go unnoticed. To catalogue and share many of these experiences I will be publishing my photography and writing about places visited and experiences that were memorable.
I will be looking to get much more out of life. This will be by challenging myself, and others to face fears and really grasp what they would like to do, but have settled for what is accepted. Part of this will be to seek out and have more adventure. You’ll also see that I fully intend to challenge perceived wisdom.
Those are all well and good, but the other facet to extraordinaryblog will be the real wish to make a difference. To leave a legacy, help out others, give something back and hopefully leave the world a better place.
And finally, as a culmination of all of the above, I am looking to grow as a person, through this process, through the lessons it will reveal and through the building up of a community of like-minded folks who also share this vision.
I’d like to call this ‘The Extraordinary Manifesto” and I’d love for those of you who’ve stayed with me so far, hopefully nodding in agreement, to join me.
